How can we use HPTuners to compensate for the end of tailpipe WB latency? It seems that it has a 3-4 sec delay and this is not syncing for tuning accuracy.

Can I use the "cell hit" required, or what do you do?

Eric,

The latency will vary greatly with exhaust mass flow. At high flow the velocity will be quicker.

The further back the sensor is, the bigger the disparity between low exhaust flow and high exhaust flow latency.

Placing the sensor further up reduces the total range of latency, and avoids reversion induced measurement error as well, so I do suggest it.

Separately, I suggest gathering data in steady state when possible since that avoids the latency concern.

When you get to doing full throttle runs, then the latency is reduced and you'll have an easier time of matching things up.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
