Hello!

Does, anyone have the correct calibration tata for the GM IAT sensor? I'm guessing my sensor does not read correct air temperature because, no matter what I do with the air density correction table in my Megasquirt MS3PNP ecu, I'm having a very different idle AFR, for example I target a specific AFR and tune the idle for that at, let's say 35 degrees C, as soon as I go for a drive and the IAT drops to, 20 C for example, when I stop and let it idle, it's significantly richer, until the IAT rises again, to 40 C. As you guessed if it goes higher thhen it runs leaner.

I tried attaching a long hose to the intake and feed it cold air while idling then let the temperature rise slowly while adjusting the air density table, but, as soon as I go for a drive, then stop, the AFR goes bannanas.

I have disabled the MAT/CLT correction table, to have better control over the air density table.

The sensor is this one https://www.diyautotune.com/product/gm-open-element-iat-sensor/

I'm curently using the calibration data in the Megasquirt dropdown menu for GM IAT Sensor, I tried using the calibration data that is provided in the description on the website, because they're different, but I see no improvement.

Don't know what's wrong.

I went ahead and did a new test. I attached a open element K type probe to the iat sensor and blew hot air through the intake pipe. Despite the fact that the reading is way off (almost 20 C after it stabilized), the IAT is responding very slow. I guess that's my problem.

Can, anyone recommend a good, reliable, tested IAT sensor?

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
