I have been gifted a number of GM style MAP sensors, 3 Bar versions. Are there any resolution differences between a 1BAr and 3Bar unit?
All of my builds are naturally aspirated. Can I get myself in trouble using these or lose any sensitivity?
Paul
There is a loss of resolution, it likely doesn't matter relative to numerous other setup, tune and sensing variances and how accurately they are reflected in the fuel model.
Paul,
Yes there's loss of resolution any time the range expands for a given voltage range.
You can run an NA engine on a 3 bar though.
If you're using it for data gathering for R&D or something of that nature, then I'd want something more optimized for the usage.
Range aside, I'd be concerned with them being "GM Style" because there are tons of knock offs out there and they are not reliable.
