Hey guys. So i need some more inputs so ill be adding an I/O expander to my 1500. I'm told theres a 500ms delay with the IOE, so aside from inputs tied to engine protection, is there anything that should not run through it? It looks like I'll have to move my clutch switch over to give me an additional SPI for turbo speed. Would there be any problem with launch control, or possible wheel speed through the IOE? Thanks.

500ms is an eternity with regards to traction control and wheel speed.

Most of the IOE applications I have seen are for components with next to no hard timing constraints such as fuel pumps, relays, lighting.

At 500ms delay you wouldn't be able to use that IO for anything actively controlling engine or driveline.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
