Help Please...Best bang for buck Management system with knock control for BMW inline 6 cylinders(Mostly M50,M52,M54 ect)

Hi All,

Down here in South Africa we are very limited with regards to management systems supplied with none of them having knock control.

We are building a few daily Turbo BMW's in the coming months and are looking for a aftermarket management system suitable for these motors (Mostly M50,M52,M54 ect). Must have knock control onboard the system, we do have a Plex knock control device but this moves between various vehicles for tuning.

We are looking for decent systems at a reasonable price, if any body has any suggestions that would be great.

Also new vs used? I do like new things but then again if it works it works, what is you opinion here?

I think only the MS3 has built in knock control.. but not sure

Thanks for the response.. these definitely do come in at a more reasonable costs once all conversion and costs added.

If any of these plugs match your ECU you can make your own Plug and play megasquirt too

Vems is one of the best if you want something good for cheap. Knock,quad vanos control and i could go on and on it is very good for the money. Only draw back is the support side but it is getting better every day.

I used it on many inline 6 bmw. Most of them a s54. You can buy plug and play stuff as well for many bmw engines.
