Hi, I'm currently helping a friend with his 1.8T AGU with a MaxxECU. It runs great until you rev the engine over 6800 RPM. The first time I experiended it was when he did a start with wheelspin where he was going into the revlimiter. In the logs you can see that the rpm goes perfectly fine until ~6800-6900rpm and then suddenly drops to 0 with the lost sync counter going up. After that the ecu cuts ignition and fuel until you turn ignition off and on again.

The wiring harness is new, but the guy who made it for him made some mistakes. The Cam Signal Sensor for example was wired to 5V (it worked fine ignoring the high rpm signal lost). I thought fixing it and getting it to 12V would make a difference but here I am. Now wiring is: shielded cable with signal and GND from ECU to Sensor and extra 12V to the sensor.

If I reduce the rpm limit it doesn't happen. In the trigger logger you can see how the signal gets weird at these high rpms. As soon as the engine does not rev that high anymore, the signal looks perfectly fine. What could be the issue? Is it possible for the hall sensor to be broken or is it normal for the 1.8T Home signal to be unplausible at high rpms? Could it be a wiring issue? But why does it work fine in low and mid rpms?

Trigger oscilloscope is at low rpm/idle with my notes for the duration from signal to signal (s=short, m=medium, L=long)

Trigger Logger is at 6800RPM Rev limiter, here you can see the same pattern until the rpm gets too high->duration from signal to signal too short; when the duration gets longer the signal then looks perfectly fine again
