good evening guys, im relatively new to HP tuners and am attempting a calibration on a 2009 holden commodore ve ss 6.0L with the e38 ecm, ive read the rom and setup the histograms, graphs and tables matching those in the worked example video series for the very similar model in the archives (with OTR intake while retaining MAF).upon returning to the vehicle to commence the calibration, i have found that although all the relevant graph and histogram PID's are available to select in vcm scanner, 4 rather critical PID's will not display measured values, populate tables or graphs plots etc. the PID's for equivalency ratio , Cylinder airmass, knock retard and o2 afr are completely blank . Commanded EQ does display but its value is always 1.00 also.

is there something simple i am missing or are these options simply not available in the 2009 version of the GM e38 ecm?

Ben,

Sometimes there are slight variations in PIDs between year/models so in some cases opening a template from one car will not result in all monitors being logged, even when their name appears to be the same.

In VCM Scanner I would see if multiple monitors of almost the same name are present, try adding all of them and taking a quick log to see which has valid data.

In some cases the software will suggest using a generic alternative to a monitor. In some cases that will be beneficial, and in some cases you'll want to say no to that suggestion and use the non generic monitor version.

Please let us know if that helps get you the data you need.
