Afternoon. Ant from the uk, ive been a member here for a while and have used the tuning course to do some adjustments to my subaru on a standalone ecu. That was no issue and all went well.
Since then iv owned a BMW 335i with the N54 platform and really struggled to find info/software i could use to flash the msd. Eventually becoming fed up with the mechanical issues i sold up and went back to my youth and bought a Renault clio 197 (i know, madness) anyway again im finding it hard to obtain any info on software or cabling. iv never done a re-flash tune so my knowledge on where to go is non existent. google only really seems to take to to chip tuning sites and thats a road i dont want to go down.
I would assume there's no luck on open source software like romraider, iv looked and cant find anything. so would be looking at something like hp tuners but they only really cover gm.
Any snippets of advice or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
You might go standalone depending on how serious you are. Link and Haltech have pretty good support for a wide range of engines. plus the cost isn't huge when comparing to some plugin reflash brands. You will have some work to install/ get the tune straight but then you'll have full control to do whatever you want.
Fastchip.nl does a reflash box for Renaults. Henk supplies the box with a tune but it also allows you to tune the car as well.
