hello guys, im facing that issue with my car where i can run 24 psi for a week or so then suddenly car starts breaking up and knocking like crazy ,when i decrease boost car runs completely fine ,i dont think its a tune issue as i have too many logs at that boost pressure knock free until it starts cutting on Wot and only solution is decreasing boost with my mbc.tried new plugs gapped 0.55mm, my AFR at WOT at peak boost when this is happening are touching 17!!! which is engine breaking zone with 15 counts of knock will post logs of car running good and a log of knock and cutting out .Checked for boost leaks there is none
any input will be greatly appreciated
Will just load up your logs, but from your description I'd be looking in the direction of your fuel supply system. Is it related to how full the tank is?
also wanted to add sometimes while cruising at steady speed car hiccups for a second or less and afr touches 10's in that moment,i dont know if that can help too reaching the issue
no actually its not related to my fuel tank if its full or barely filled.
Car is tuned on MAF setup full mod list
walbro 255

evo 8 turbo with kinugawa 20g billet wheel and comp housing
Any chance you could put a fuel pressure sensor onto that perrin fuel rail and log it? You're certainly getting a lean spike around the problem area, but that could either be the cause of your problem (would explain the knock, too), or a false reading because the engine misfires, and un-burnt oxygen passes through the engine, so the o2 sensor thinks the AFR is lean.
I have no idea where to get a fuel pressure sensor and how to install it i will try searching for that, can you point me out to where i can get it with all parts needed?
And can i fit any fp sensor to it or there is a specific one to buy,i work in a vw parts store and workshop so i xan easily have access to an fp sensor if it fits
One of the most common sensors we use are the Honeywell 0-150 psi sensors. These should be available locally from companies specialising in EFI equipment or there are dozens of international companies that could supply if you get stuck.
Yeah will look for it if i cant sort it out ill just buy a 0-5v 150 psi sensor off ebay
