Hi,
somehow i came across this site:pyrometer-egt-plate-kit , and I'm now wondering if egr port is a good source for egt sensor if its i might try it on my FD RX-7
No, though you can use that for EMAP. I try to put EGTs on either rotor about an inch, inch and a half from the exhaust flange. Usually facing towards the ground depending on clearance and manifold.
