Hi all,

is there any safely area or range ( load and AFR) ( Ex. low load lean AFR?) would able to artificially create knock for aftermarket calibration or validate stock knock sensor(s)?

Thanks

Steven Tsai

If you want artificial knock then use a hammer or wrench on the block. I don't think this will help you calibrate, but you can see if the sensors are responding.

I think what you want to do it measure actual knock safely. Here is webinar that demonstrates doing that on the dyno - go to 22:00 into that video to see the demonstration.

Okay thanks! Much appreciated!
