Need some trouble shooting help,
I have a Gto ls1 swapped into Toyota, I have deleted vats with hp tuners, have around 60psi at my regulator and am getting blinking light at injectors with tester. If I spray starting fluid on start up it will turn over for a couple seconds than run by itself, no starting fluid. Once it’s started it runs fine by itself with throttle response and everything. I’m kinda stumped. Any ideas? Maybe cold start fuel? Or something with cold start
Thank you
Rather hard to say, but a couple of things come to mind -
a/ the voltage across the injectors may be too low to open them as the battery voltage also drops under cranking. When the engine kicks over and the rpm rises as the starter is released and the alternator starts working, the voltage will increase significantly across the injectors.
You don't mention the injectors, but some aftermarket ones are fussy about the voltages and require more current. That the tester
I'd suggest reviewing the actual voltages, and the wiring - where the power and grounds are placed - and the wiring gauges used.
b/ more unlikely, there may be a minimum rpm, or oil pressure, required before the ECU triggers the injectors. When you checked their operation, was that with the spark plugs in or out - if the former I'd be even more inclined to dismiss b/ and concentrate on a/
