I’m curious as to how OEM turbocharged MAF sensor systems account for the increase in air density since an increase in air pressure also yields an increase in air density. Most MAF sensors are pull through style, which means the sensor is mounted in front of the compressor inlet aka before the air is compressed so it the increase in density isn’t accounted for.
The only thing I can think of is that the MAF sensor scaling is just scaled for that.

The MAF is just measuring the mass of air entering the engine, it doesn't care about the pressure after the turbocharger. The air needed by the turbo to create the pressure in the manifold has to go through the MAF and that's where it is accounted for.
