Hello everyone,
I want to ask if there is any problem with the λ number on wideband when calibrate a turbo engine with external, which the output of external going on atmosphere? Because, one amount of exhaust gas don't measured from Wideband.
An external wastegate venting to atmosphere does not affect the air fuel ratio.
Remember the oxygen sensor measures the *ratio* of oxygen to the other gasses in the exhaust, not the actual amount of gas itself.
All things being equal, the air fuel ratio of the exhaust gas exiting the external wastegate and the exhaust system should be identical so no, you won't have an issue.
Thanks you both of you for the clarification
