Hi,
I'm trying to achieve some pops and bangs / burble on deceleration on a N/A engine with ITBs. Fuel and ignition tables are TPS based so I'm thinking about what the typical TPS values are to tune for burble without affecting acceleration (e.g. 0 - 3% above 4000 rpm). Are there any recommendations for this application?
Megasquirt 2 ECU, overrun fuel cut OFF of course.
Thanks in advance.
Manfred
From my bike experience its usually made by retarding ignition at zero tps. Also stock exhaust air injection system helps those pops to occur. And high flow no cat exhaust system.
The car has no cat and no electronic idle control valve.
I tried retarding the timing even a bit ATDC at 0 TPS, but I think with completely closed throttle bodies there is not enough air to generate some burble.
Maybe, decel fuel cut is off?
As written in the first post overrun fuel cut is off.
I'm just interested in what the typical maximum TPS values are to retard the timing because I think at 0% TPS there will not be enough air.
