Hi everyone,
lately ive been trying to make a 911 gt2 engine on a ecumaster pro16, so far everything ticks off, but for some reason I cant make vtg's actualy work. Once I start the engine they move slightly but go back to their "0" spot.
Wiring seems to be fairly easy (12v, gnd, signal in), tried both hbridge polaritys for signal with no luck, and then they actualy worked (off the turbo while still the wiring attached to the running engine/car) with an aux output as signal, only info I could find says 250hz is the frequency but as they cant actualy move the mecanical part of the vtg while on the turbo im tempted to go for more (as if it was a dbw?)
Hope ive explained well enough, vtg is a "common?" 4 pin actuator from VAG.
Thanks!
What is the Part number for the actuator. These should be a five pin plug. Sometimes the units are CAN bus and other times they need to have positive and reverse polarity as a DBW throttle body would be. Post the part number of the unit you are using. This should be very simple to achieve control of via the ECU master.

Its a borgwarner unit, all the info I could find on the pinout says pin 1 12v pin 2 gnd pin 3 signal in pin 4 pos out
We actualy made it work out of the car, thats what feels weird about it, tried opening it in diferent stages and it would stay at given % and go back to zero after it.. but while in the car it wont move other than the start up "test?"
Already tested the aux out with a diode just incase, it works as it should.
It is definitely PWM modulated. Can you see the Position reading correctly when in the car? I assume that there is a voltage error on the 12v side or that it can not determine position appropriately. What are the settings for the PID control and min/max values?
Havent tried to use the position signal so far as it worked without it, planned on using closed loop to control it.
PID is set to proportional gain 0,40%/kpa integral 4%/kpa derivate 0,1%/kpa (output min -10% max 100%)
PWM is set to 250hz
Must say we could actualy see current use while testing it with the testing option (only way its worked so far), -engine running, actuator off the car-, but not while the actuator is on the turbo.
