Hello Andre,
I wanted to ask you a question for an acceleration event.Would you tune the engine for MBT at the whole range of RPM and Load or would you try to build a smoother torque curve at low RPM?Are Launch control and MBT the proper way to tune an engine for acceleration? Thanks in advance
Tuning for MBT is going to result in maximum torque and power throughout the rev range. If power exceeds the available traction though this may be a disadvantage. In drag applications I will often use a timer function to retard the ignition timing once the car has left the line to reduce/control engine torque and hence maintain traction. It is very much dependent on power and traction available.
