hi everyone wonder if you can help or point me in the right direction I've carried out a tune on a r33 gtst stock engine just refreshed with mls head gasket and Arp head studs it has a Garrett gtx30 turbo on it also r35 gtr coil conversion. the issue I'm having is even after steady state tuning 3 times the fuel map seems off and cant get it to look correct or smooth has anyone had this issue. this is my first proper tune I've done on my own dyno any help would be much appreciated its made 513bhp and 520nm torque going to back it down as its a stock engine and don't want it to be unreliable or explode. its tracking nicely on wot and afrs are where i want them but its the fuel table I'm not happy with cheers
Hi Kyle,
Welcome to HPA.
You've got more fuel going in at lift-off and partial-throttle than at full-throttle. Using modelled fuelling you need to make sure that the injector information is correct and fuel pressure, double check what your base fuel pressure is, if it's the car I'm thinking of the regulator does run more base pressure than the usual 3 bar as it was all the owner could get at the time he was building it.
You've also still got the secondary tables in the ECU from the old map on the car, I'd de-activate them so there's not something rouge going on switching tables.
Thanks very much for the reply I adjusted the setting double checked the injector and fuel pressure settings and found a issue with the battery I disabled the secondary tables to and all is good now thanks for the reply much appreciated first proper map I’ve done since learning from hpa:)
