Hey!

Just watched the maxx ecu cold start course, and i just wanted to make sure that all the cold starting tuning and other fuel related ajustments should be done with vlosef loop lambda turned off right? To not have corrections running and meddleing while you work

There was noth touched on weather or not to go and turn that off

And i would find it intresting to hear about the theory / thought behind when to let closed loob labda kick it ( temprature, run time ect. )

Simon,

I've not watched that particular course, but since you specified cold start tuning, and the wideband may not be warmed up and trimming for a significant portion of the start, post start, and some of the warmup process, it may be easier to disable closed loop fueling and make adjustments based on error between logged lambda and desired lambda, without having to calculate how the trim impacted lambda error during part of the warmup process.

Personally I've done it both ways.
