I'm looking to get into remote tuning, mostly with TunerStudio/ Megasquirt ECUs and I'm unsure of how to go about initial startup procedures and idle tuning. Is it best to use software that will allow me to access and control the customers laptop to make live changes?
I think that's practically required for remote tuning. TeamViewer is a popular option that has worked for me. Another remote tuner I know uses GoToAssist.com and I worked with him using that, it worked well too.
I'll check that out. I've really only ever helped friends through datalogs with an already driving car and haven't found much elsewhere. Thank you!
You can check into Anydesk as well! Super easy to setup and use.
Quick Assist is built into Windows 10/11, works really well and doesn't require downloading or installing anything. Just type Quick Assist into the start menu. I use the free plan of Zoho Assist for people still running Windows 7/8.
