Is it necessary for a tps on the carbs for the wasted spark setup ? the engine will be above 4000 RPM Most of the time and throttle will be full 95% of the time . Its for a Oval racing setup and the track is only 360M long
No, it's basically a 2D map, assuming you're using advance Vs rpm. With a TPS you could have a 3D map for advancing under light throttle for better efficiency but, in this case, it seems to be un-needed.
Basically it's the equivalent of running a distributor on it's mechanical advance only, with the vacuum advance disconnected.
