Hi team,

Having used the V3 for the first time, I found it difficult to dial in sensor gain and good audio output. Also, how to set second harmonic ? In V2 it was software selectable. In V3..? Do we simply double the main Knock frequency value in Knock Inputs and Detection setup? By doing so, "Bore Size" -numer is automatically being halved. Is this correct?

All in all, I did not feel confident and the more I tried to find the best settings, positive results I did not achieve. Perhaps sensor gain at 4 and audio output at 22 db were simply set to high?

What signal levels have you expert V3 users observed, with and without knock ?

Question over question, lol. Plex email support seem to be on vacation, hence asking here.

TIA

D

Dom,

Did you get any further with this?

Hello Richard

No. Contacted Plex and the answer was, that the person in charge is aware of my support request but is currently busy. :-(

Dom,

My current PIA.. waiting for a reply from Plex.. plugged in on USB it’s fine, connect it to CAN and it crashes. Screen just goes mad and spins round.. 🤬

Have you powered the unit from vehicle battery or USB only? Just a thought.

And, did you configure CAN1:

Hi Dom,

I’m pretty good with CAN. It wasn’t a config issue. Seems the plex is quite sensitive to current switching..

I have 4 devices on my CAN2. AIM dash, AIM TPMS, ECU Master EGT, Plex. VBAT was dropping to 9.5v so took the TPMS off the network and it’s now stable..

As permanent fix, I will power it off a switched IGN.

Now the challenge is getting the Ethernet streaming to work. Worker once, crashed and refuses to see the network adaptor again.. 🙈

It’s a bit flaky, is the nicest way of putting it..

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
