I've just brought a tuner nerd knock monitor and I'm quite excited to put it to use. Being that it uses the same bosch knock sensor I'm already using, I was wondering if I could run the knock monitor and my ecu off the same sensor concurrently (with a bit of an adaptor harness). Would be nice for dialing in the knock thresholds to know the audio is exactly the same as the ecu is seeing. But I wonder if the two units will influence each others signal.
The alternative would be to put a long stud in the block and mount both sensors on top of each other which I'm pretty sure would work.
I would be slightly worried about stacking them if they are resonating type sensors, but that could be dodgy intuition aboit resonating on my part. It wouldn't be hard to test that you are seeing the same results on both.
