Hello , so I understand there are lots to be changed in terms of adding a turbocharger however this post is only asking about the fuel side of adding a turbocharger to a vehicle that was already tuned with larger injectors Dw 1000cc using any tuning software but in this case, link engine management , and the engine is a k20z3 Honda with a Mac 3 port boost solenoid , tial bov, and tial 44 wastegate, just to input what it is . I already had the car dialed in using traditional mode Ms based with the Master Fuel Trim of 5ms , on pump 91 e10 fuel . So main question is there a quick and easier way to tune the fuel side here speaking that my Ve map ranges from about 40 idle to near 95 at peak power and then levels down to about 90s. What’s the easiest way to go about correcting this for the low boost max 17 psi. Being that I have dw injectors I’d like to stay with traditional method as the data they give is sketchy at the least ?

The traditional method still increases fuel on time based on manifold pressure increase if you set MAP as the Load source. That will add fuel as MAP increases for you, but you'll still want to alter the fuel table as needed.

Also make sure your fuel targets are now appropriate for forced induction, and if you aren't already using lambda targeting, I suggest doing so. That also reduces effort required in the main fuel table since the target lambda is applied to the fuel calculation.

This may change the title of this Topic overall, and As Tuning isnt the easiest Subject I have ever Attempted I will say and its obvious , I was dreading having to remap the fuel only for adding a turbocharger and the reason is My injector Data from DW wasn't accurate this entire time i've been using these brand new 1000cc injectors, and the data from DW website for 1000cc injectors however i always had a sketchy feeling as the part numbers were slightly different, However id searched over and over again never finding the correct part number until just after i posted this topic. Appears that DW updated there website and the 17u Ev14 1000cc injector data was there and for the link platform . Let this be the Lesson learned here , Correct injector Data is absolutely necessary (Specially for someone learning to tune) Even if you have to send your injectors somewhere to be flowed. As soon as i plugged in the new data , Adjusted the Master fuel to i believe 6ms, Made sure I was idling in the correct VE area (ended up being at like 43% at idle , I then copy forward 43% to all cells in my map, went to where I believe my car is making peak power and multiplied entire 6500 rpm column by 2.5%, then multiplied from redline column to 1 column before peak again by 2.5 percent, did this all the way back to the idle columns and this created a generic or base VE table that had the structure or shape of a VE fuel map. Resulting with about 102% VE as the highest on the table again at or around peak power which I knew would likely be way to much fuel however something I could datalog To correct. Being a Honda K20z3 I went ahead and dual up the fuel, ignition, and vvt tables and just copied from 4k rpm to redline and pasted this into fuel table 2 again just to have something to start with then I just drove around backroads correcting the map. As id suspected pig rich in the most areas the worst being part throttle around 25% off , however she is now dialed in and eating well ! Thanks again HP Academy, And Link ! Let me add to this novel, Prolly not the best way to have done this, and Let the only lesson be taken from this is have correct injector data ! WHAT EXACTLY DO YOU MEAN BY THE AFR TARGETING?

Yup, correct injector data saves tons of time and headaches, and helps diagnose other issues as well.

Sounds like you've got it running well, so congratulations!

I'm referring to the fuel main options Lambda Target Table Overlay and Open Loop Lambda Correction. Turning them on and using them helps make tuning more efficient and gives you more control over the targets your closed loop trimming is targeting over varied conditions.

If you've been tuning without them, your fuel table will need adjusted after tuning them on, but you'll find the range of values needed in the fuel table shrinks considerably.
