I’m having an issue where only under load my throttle body is sticking wide open even after letting go of the accelerator pedal. This is only happening under load (doing a pull) and is not repeatable if the car is out of gear or the clutch is depressed. Has anyone experienced this before? The throttle can be felt getting stuck through your foot as well as the car continues pulling despite the throttle being left off of. Could this be an issue with the stock spring on the cable side? (The throttle body has been cut and lathed to remove the secondary butterfly and the throttle body internals look clean visible with the intake cold side pipe removed.
It's impossible for us to diagnose this issue with so little information. If the throttle body has been modified I'd be very suspicious that this is your likely cause and personally would source a stock replacement. I'd also check your throttle cable routing and ensure it is completely free to move. I'd suggest treading very carefully as a sticking throttle body is incredibly dangerous.
