Hi guys attempting to tentatively tune my N54 335i using Tunerpro for the first time and before I get started thought I'd ask a stupid question.

I was hoping to begin with the totally stock tune and make small adjustments to see how it affects the car. I'm aware E50 and E5 lambda targets are very similar so should my stock fuel table (designed for E5) be ok to begin with? I'm also aware you can run more timing with Ethanol thanks to it burning cooler, however does it burn slower? I.e. can I use the stock E5 timing table? Or will I need to make adjustments? Adjusted AFR and ignition tables are available, I was just hoping to begin with the totally stock values and take it from there.

Thanks in advance.

I don't think it will run happily on stock maps, I have a n54 as well. I don't really know much about stock ECU so correct me if i'm wrong please, as far as I know, our MSD80/81 ECUs don't allow us to mess around with VE tables, seems like we only have target lambda table, I believe it shows AFR instead of lambda, without an ethanol sensor the ECU only knows to inject the correct amount for E5 gas not E50, so it will constantly correct the mixture and might trigger excessive fuel trim check engine light?
