Hello everyone , I am calibrating my triggers on a Link G4+ Honda PnP OBD2 . Would like to ask on the OBD1 the factory settings are 97 as trigger offset while in the OBD2 its -86 . What is the difference or purpose and benefit (if any) to have it either set up in positive or minus offset ?

Thank you

It really doesn't matter. It's just how your software and hardware see the engine. What you are doing with the offset is ensuring its firing

At the right time to what the ecu thinks it is. So...when you lock the timing at 10 degrees btdc you actually see that with a timing light on number one. If you don't you change the offset till you do.

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
