hey guys been stuck on this for a couple days. tuning is new to me. i've recently wired the haltech premium harness with a elite 1500. trying to run the car now which is a 2000 civic with b20v. getting no spark. im using the k coil with stock trigger system in the distributor. ive noticed my trigger and home are over lapping well looking at the oscilloscope. my question is how do i adjust that? thanks in advanced.
Hey guys/girls looking for some help. New to tuning. I’ve taking the tuning courses. I’ve installed a haltech elite 1500 and not getting spark. On the oscilloscope my trigger and home are overlapping. How do I fix this? Should I replace the distributor? I don’t want to upgrade the trigger system because I’m doing this to learn. Once confident I’ll be putting in my built k series. Any help would be appreciated.
thanks
I suspect you have either the wiring to the trigger incorrect or the incorrect trigger settings. There are 3 trigger wheels in the distributor, a 4 tooth, a single tooth and (usually) a 24 tooth. Here's a link to Haltech's information on the B series distributor and trigger setup. Check that you have this correct first - https://support.haltech.com/portal/en/kb/articles/b-series
Hello Andre. I followed that page when wiring. How do I add photos to show you?
The trigger setup is set to the b18. both reluctor, both falling edge. looking at the scope now the i've taken a picture. it looks like they are going up would that not be rising edge? its wired as per haltech. do you thing if i just flip the hone sensor i'll be good? or both?
Thanks Andre
