Hi Fella's
From watching Andre's webinar on the Link G4+ knock setup on the VQ35 motor would it be acceptable to use the same settings that he used there as the engine runs a very similar bore size? VQ35 - 95.5mm VQ30 - 94mm. Is there any trick to setting up and monitoring knock when only road tuning the engine?
Kind regards
Jacob
To get you in the ballpark, yes, it should be fine to use those settings. But you will need to confirm that you are accurately detecting knock with some listening gear before you can trust the ECU knock detection for tuning purposes. This involves making the engine knock at a safe place (2500rpm, 60kPa is a pretty good place) and ensuring its detected properly by both your listening gear and the ECU.
