I am working with a 2.4L LE5 engine with the E67 PCM and HPTuners. I would like to know if anyone had some advice on tuning cam angle in speed density with VVE. This engine has both intake and exhaust cam actuators. My thought process was to first go through the MAF scaling, and optimize the cam angles using MAF only, and then work on the VVE. My question is, when tuning the VVE table, do I need to edit the tables for every single cam angle?

Great question. The short answer is the OE calibrators did take the time to do that, but in the aftermarket the folks I've asked only MAF tune to get the job done in a day vs. spending a week or 2 on a dyno optimizing VVE. Running a standalone is an alternative to get the job done more quickly, with or without MAF.
