so the new motor is really close and I better chase up a timing light. In australia what's the brand to use or any cheap light work on the low voltage side or am i getting a spare lead to clamp around high voltage side?
A Hella/Optilux should work just fine - https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Hella-Timing-Light-Optilux-7023-Free-Shipping/142695047712?epid=609934162&hash=item213949a220:g:Y~QAAOSwXqVaint9
You find that some ignition systems can be a bit fussy about triggering any timing light off the trigger to the coils so I always keep an ignition lead handy that I can run between the coil and spark plug.
