Good day guys, I need some help.
Im busy with a BMW S65B40 engine, it has 60-2 Crank trigger and 6 tooth Cam trigger, the Cam trigger teeth are 3 narrow, 3 wide and then a gap, it's an odd fire 90° V8, our worst Home travel is around 1%, sometimes less, Haltech recommends it should be between 40% and 60%. What could be wrong? All the wiring checks out, we checked it, double checked it and then checked it again. What happens it would only run one bank, we're getting fuel and spark on the bank thats dead, we believe it's firing at the wrong time. Cylinder 1 and 7 are 360° apart but when checking timing with a light there always seems to be a 5° variation. We have switched the cam and crank trigger between rising and falling edges with no change, what could we be missing?
