Hopefully in the next couple of weeks I'll finally get my VQ heads back (they've been in the shop for 7+ months !!!!!), so I bought this course but sadly we didn't get an example (yet) of a VVT engine.

I presume I'll just have to open up the cam sprocket phaser and jam it fully retarded then advanced to get my readings ?

Lastly, any thoughts on how much clearance would be suitable (it's an NA track/street car)?

Hello i would normally be looking for a min of 0.060 inlet and 0.080 exhaust. recommended is 0.080 and 0.100 it would gus depend how far you want to push it. also things like rod material etc

We usually reply within 12hrs (often sooner)
