Your worked example is used on a motor were the spark plug is vertical to the piston . On a G.M. LS Motor the plugs are at an angle to the piston . Will the piston stop tend to flex ?? Once the piston touches the piston stop ?? Never used a piston stop before . Or what about earlier G.M. Motors that have angle plug heads ?? Terry
The piston stop we demonstrate with will still work with an LS motor, despite the angled plug location. I try and use as little protrusion as I can get away with on the stop to reduce the chance of flex, and you also want to make sure you apply an equivalent amount of force to the strong arm in each direction when you come up on the stop. This force doesn't need to be very much by the way.
