Hey guys, im having a hard time figuring out how to get a bosch vr sensor to register any kind of speed output with a link g4+. Engine is an RB26 with a 24 minus 1 trigger wheel on the cam, similar to the NZWiring kit. Have tried both polarites and even rewired the sensor as the factory loom was a bit average. Screenshot of my settings in the link and a picture of the trigger scope. Have played around with the trigger arming lots but even the lowest value doesnt seem to register any engine revs. This is my first time setting up a non-OEM trigger so i have run out of ideas.
Hello the picture you have of the cam sensor scope shows the gap is to wide between the sensor and pick up
the pattern in that picture is also the incorrect polarity
by the looks they normally pull over 1 volt when set up correctly
the arming thresholds should be 0.3 0.8 1 3.5 3.5 an so on , trigger one should be set to cam
make sure trigger 2 is set to off the offset if the same as NZ wiring will be approx 92 at 10 deg
Regards Ross
Thanks mate! cheers for the ballpark timing offset and arming thresholds too, that will surely help.
i reversed the polarity and moved the sensor a bit closer to the trigger wheel, looking alot clearer but its still not registering any rpm. do i need to move the sensor closer or have i missed something during the setup? TIA
*uploaded a better resolution scope*
All sorted now, thanks.
