I'm considering re installing the factory Toyota EGR system due to the ever increasing difficulty in passing the emissions tests here in the UK without it.
The car currently has a G4X tuned with multifuel blend tables for petrol and E85. I've added a table to activate the EGR valve for the vacuum actuator in the low load/cruise area of the MAP/RPM range and what I was hoping to do is add a 4D table to the fuel and ignition maps to adjust the fuel/ign adv when the EGR is active.
The problem I'm coming up against is when I activate the 4d table and trigger it from the EGR output (Aux1) there's no visible overlay table to make changes required.
Could someone shed some light on if it's possible to essentially add a 3rd fuel & ign table in the G4X software and what sort of delay should I use for enabling and disabling the EGR solenoid valve to prevent oscillation.
When you enable certain settings you have to save the file, quit software, then re-open software, and then the associated tables become visible. It's a weird software quirk they've had for years. Enable 4d fuel and 4d ignition, save, quit, re-open, and you should see two new tables then be able to set axes up and tune them as you see fit.
Yeah I did try that and still didn't work unfortunately.
Edit.
I've figured out where the problem was. I'd used up all my tables so the 4D tables wouldn't open.
Ah yea. G4x has enough that you generally don't even have to think about table count any more, but it's certainly a concern on older models. Well done figuring that out.
Hopefully you can come to an arrangement that allows you enough tables.
