Hi,
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask but I cannot tell if my "old" Vi-PEC V44 ECU is fitted with a 2.5 or 4 bar internal MAP sensor.
Is there anyone from LINK on here who would know, based on the ECU's serial number perhaps?
Thanks in advance.
I apologize as I don't recall if you can view internal MAP sensor voltage or not on Vi-Pec's offhand, so I'd check and see if that's possible first. If so, you could view voltage at rest, then use a hand pump to apply pressure slowly/carefully and see how high voltage is at 2.5 bar.
If at 2.5 bar you're already over 4 volts, and 2.5 and 4 bar are the only possible options, then I'd be relatively confident it's a 2.5 bar.
Please let us know what you find.
Thank you for your interest. Here is what I can see in the logs :
200 kPa = 2.32 V
233 kPa = 2.7 V
251 kPa = 2.94 V
262 kPa = 3.08 V
274 kPa = 3.22 V
To me this means the 4.0 bar sensor is fitted.
Agreed. Well done!
