Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
I know this is a long shot but wondering if there are any other female tuners out there?! I am in Pennsylvania, recently got deeper into tuning while participating in roll racing events. Hoping to eventually make it my full time career. M series BMW enthusiast, but definitely have a love for all fast cars.
Not something you see very often to be honest. I have never met a female tuner...
Not that I'm aware of, hopefully you start a trend because "girls can do [almost] anything!" - so, welcome to the forums.
Haha I guess that answers my question! I started off as a mechanical engineering major with a minor in motorsports and then got really interested in tuning because it involves a lot of math and science. Plus seeing the results of your tune on the track is so rewarding. Hopefully I will start a trend for future females who also want to get in the field professionally or just tune their own cars. Thanks for the warm welcome!
I am a woman. Actually a mother of two. In aerospace manufacturing steelworker union. I am very very new to tuning. But it is a spark I've not experienced in a hobby in well over a decade. I was a dog behaviourist for twelve years. And it's around the same level of initial interest I had then that I have now with tuning. I just want to learn as much as I can. As in depth as I can. Love this academy. Very precise teaching. And well organized. I own an hptuners mpvi3.
Swapped motors. Previous mds engine failed. Chose to swap for a 6.4 cam upgrade of the same engine. Still in the process. But if y'all got any beginning pointers. Good places to look for correct information. Manufacturer specific information. Anything. I own a 16 ram 1500 5.7 SLT. She's white
Welcome and thank you for joining us. Hopefully more women will get involved as time goes on.
