Hi. Happy fathers day for me! Best wife in the world buying me the VIP package!

Currently learning to tune using a Subaru WRX 2001 Bugeye Wagon as my test bed.

Have previusly tuned a 2015 R1..

Complete novice, and lots to learn and forget..

You don't know, what you don't know, until you know you don't know!

Currently using a combination of ecuedit, Rom Raider (logger) and Mega Log Viewer..

Welcome!!! I like your choice of wife and vehicles.

Happy tuning.

Thanks Mike. She does have her moments.. very rarely.. and i mean the good ones HAHAHAHA

Well my bug eye still lives.. Even after i gave it a new Turbo donated by my 2012 STI.. But i need to do injectors now.. they wont

last long at 120 Duty.. Ive backed off Boost, even taken a little fuel out for now..

Worked on a few Subarus have you Mike?

Welcome to the HPA crew mate! Second Mikes comment haha

For every upgrade there is almost always something else that becomes the bottleneck eh, regarding the injectors. There are a few webinars using EcuFlash that will help you with that, along with the example in the reflash tuning course as well.

Do you still have the R1? We had one on the dyno here too previously but with the hub dyno now it's a bit harder.

Hey Taz, yeh sure do have the R1M still... Ill never let that go.. well hopefully... itd have to be for something that really got me dreaming.. It was actually the first R1M sold and registered in Australia back in 2015... And the `11th of the production line.. I also have a 04 R1.. the only thing in common between the two is the colour of your under wear after you finish riding hahahaha I never finished tuning the R1M... i basically did everything excepy timing there honestly was no reason.. i had massive gains just touching up ridablity and throttle maps... Also recently read that i was not heavy enough with the fuel.. When i finish the bug eye i may go back after all Woolich do have live auto tuning now...

The bug eye still lives... Unfortunately (wiesly) backed boost off.. twice.... now only runing 10PSI... But i dont run out of Injectors at least now.. and at these lower levels i feel confident to really try and dial in the control of boost.. and spool.. And stuffed if im changing those injectors on Vehical agaIN,

Oh nice! A keeper for sure. You always need exactly the number of bikes you have, plus just one more 😂 Same goes for cars too but bikes are certainly easier to collect being a bit cheaper and taking up less space I find.

Great you got some easy wins on the ridability. A lot of people assume that bikes at that level come with a perfect tune but it's just really not the case. They have to jump through some hoops we don't, and easy tuning wins like that which are noticeable are the best tuning wins.

Sounds like you're on the right track with the bug eye. Less is more sometimes and fair call on the injectors. Those boxers are a real pain. Bit more room than a bike but at least you can pretty easily disassemble 'most' bikes to get at what you need.
