Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
Hi there,
My name is Jared and I've been into cars as long as I can remember. I learned a lot from my father growing up, who was a qualified Fitter and Machinist. I have always generally done work on my own cars other than things like crash repairs or A/C work, which was not equipped for.
I recently found myself going down the rabbit hole of learning about engine rebuilding when I decided to pull my leaking engine out of my '07 Liberty GT-B, which also needed a clutch. The more I pulled it apart the less satisfied I was with its condition, which has resulted in a complete teardown.
I'm here to firstly learn about all the details of building an engine properly and will also apply this to my other cars: A 1997 Skyline GTS25t and a 1995 Mazda Astina V6.
I've always wanted to delve deeper into the engine building so thing and may start doing some engine work as a sideline to my day job as a Biomedical Engineer. If anything this will just to help fund my personal projects and help others out that are on a budget like myself.
Hope to get to know more of you on here and sink my teeth into some in-depth build work.
Welcome Jared! Thank you for joining us.
Thanks Mike :)
