Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
I apparently never introduced myself here, apart to Taz in pv, so do I !
Remy, 34yo, mechanical engineer from design to project side, so I enjoy keeping my hands on as a petrolhead hobby !
What's in the workshop garage ?
- girlfriend Impreza wrx10, world rally blue with gold rims for sure, muffler delete and flex fuel mapped by a local tuner specialised in subbies. All weather daily.
- when 2 wheels are enough, a cherry bomb XB12S designed by Mr. Erik Buell, mostly stock apart a fine tune from local twin guru (can connect it through buelltooth dongle), custom "Red Buell" embroided seat and a Sebring can as safety horn. Good vibes unicorn.
- my daily, Toyotabaru GT86. Some rpf1s and an unequal length decat header, for oil cooler and Wayne's tune through open flash tablet to run E85. Red sideways tool.
- last but not least. My miata...in fact a Mazda MX5, 1996 rhd 1.8 with some add-ons and lots of love and abuses. Full cage, big brake kit, bucket seats, ohlins r&t, etc etc...and a flyin miata turbo kit always in progress, with a gt2560r and an honorable FM Link. Currently building a spare block which will go in with 6 speed, 3.6 torsen, fresh injector and cop, then a MS3 megasquirt to push it to the moon and back with corn juice. Road trips and trackdays love.
Self learning everything I've done and will do on my rides, using my technical background but with lots of internet readings and deburring, I appreciate HP tuning courses as I just have to hear and understand, with confidence.
See ya ;-)
Great intro you sound like you enjoy life
regards Ross
