Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
Hello fellow car enthusiast,
My name is Dane, and I am from North Carolina in the USA. I am excited to be here and learn from everyone. (I never thought I would be writing another forum post after university but here we are lol)
I am a big day dreamer, so I have big plans for builds and projects in the future but currently lack funds and time to accomplish them. I love talking and learning everything about cars though. A little bit about me, I studied aviation in university and became a multi-engine pilot. After school I developed a love for engines and working on them. I studied for about a year in an aviation A&P mechanic program but due to personal reasons did not complete it to get my license. I am currently working at a hardware store in the small engine repair shop.
I love any type of car, doesn't matter the brand or where it came from. I have a long list of cars I would love to own but at the moment I have a 2002 Lexus IS300, 1999 Jeep Cherokee, and a 1976 Chevrolet Camaro. The Lexus is my daily driver, but I have been making plans for rebuilding the engine and changing anything that will make it faster. The jeep I've had since I was 17 and it's been a fun car for me, it is currently lifted 4.5 inches but mostly stock. Lastly the Camaro is a restoration project me and my dad got to work on together.
I am interested in learning to tune and build engine because I love the sense of accomplishment you get from building something with your own hands. There are some things that I will hire someone else to do though because there are tons of people more experienced than me, and it pays to have it done right. But generally, I prefer to work on things myself and learn new skills.
Thanks for reading if you made it this far. I am looking forward to learning a lot and having fun while doing it.
Welcome Dane! Thank you for joining us.
