Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
Hi there,
I'm from Vancouver Island in BC Canada - I currently teach metalwork/automotive/mechanics classes full time at a high school.
I'm mainly interested in drift cars/street cars of the Japanese variety. I've owned a few schasses, jzx, etc. over the years, and used to be more involved in drifting... not so much now as our local track was demolished. Currently I've got a 87 RX7 and have done a fair bit of fabrication/work to it. I would like to build my confidence up from this platform to tune a new link ECU going into it!
I've been interested in tuning for quite some time - my only real experience has been through trial and error street tuning a ca18det with Nistune. I ended up taking an interest in tuning after being ripped off by a local shop (no longer in business), and decided to take matters into my own hands and learn to do it myself. There are no real tuning shops in my area that offer EFI dyno tuning, so I'd like to open up a tuning shop one day as a side gig. I am really excited to begin the courses/modules.
Cheers!
Murray
