Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
Hi all,
Just completed the EFI fundamentals course and really enjoyed it. As a teacher, I found it well delivered and very informative. Started with HPA with the view of a a career change. Originally a panel beater before teaching, so I have something of an automotive background. Still tinker on cars and am currently using a G102 charade that was given to me as a basis for learning ECU tuning. Have cut the copious amounts of rust out of it and painted it black so far. Pic attached. Have an A101 applause to transplant the HD-E 1.6 Engine and rear discs from. Looking at doing the road tuning course next, but wanted to get organised with the software stuff first. Any ideas on what I should be doing software-wise before investing in the next step?
Software wise will depend on which ECU your tuning, aftermarket ECU's run their own software.
Welcome to HPA
Just looking at reflashing the factory ECU at this stage, though I've been looking at speeduino and that seems an interesting path once I've got a handle on the basics.
