Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
Hi have been watching webinars and courses for a little bit now and I really like it.
Have been interested in aftermarket ecus and tuning for almost 10 years now, started with a Meagasquirt that i soldered together and installed in my old NA Volvo 240 to learn how to tune, have since then installed and tuned friends cars.
I got a hold of and old dyno that worked great for a while until the retarder shorted out. So upgraded it with new electronics from Sportdevices.
Her you can see the old eddy brake water cooled.
So I decided to buy a much more powerful and air cooled retarder, have since reworked the dyno and just got it to work, some work left though new Aluminium ramps, and shield in the brake for noise and mainly safety.
Hi Simon,
Welcome to HPA. What sort of power limitations have you got now that you've upgraded the dyno retarder?
Thanks
The brake is good for 3300nm, and the inertia of it all is 20.5
