Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
Hello everyone, just wanted to introduce myself.
My name is Mats, I'm 41 years old and live in Sweden, I'm a CAD engineer/designer by trade and work for a local manufacuring company.
In my spare time in the last three years I've restored and modified a 1974 Porsche 914. Stock it came with an aircooled 4 cylinder 1970 cc engine that ran on D-jetronic injection achieving a scary 95 horsepower. I've had the engine built, bored and stroked to a 2276 cc engine with higher compression. I've converted it to ITB's and individual LS2 coils. The ecu is a MaxxEcu from Swedish Maxxtuning. The ecu inputs are a 36-1 crank trigger wheel and a custom distributor replacement sensor that enables full sequential injection.
The fuel system is all new lines, a Bosch fuel pump and an adjustable FPR set to 3 Bar. I've also fitted the fuel system with an E85 sensor to give me the possibility to run the car on E85 if I want too. Injectors are Bosch 350 cc/min brown ones from a Saab 9-5 Aero.
I hope to start the engine up before the end of 2016 and hopefully get it tuned on a local company well ahead april and then enjoy the short Swedish summer.
I bought the starter pack as a christmas gift for myself and look forward to learning more about EFI tuning.
Hi Mats,
Welcome to HPA. That is a lovely looking 914, I don't suppose you'd fancy sharing more pictures and progress in a build thread on the forum?
Done. :)
Very nice car , and nice christmas gift also !
