Hey guys, glad to be a part of the HP Academy community. A brief introduction to who I am and what I have for a project.

I've been a service technician for about 15 years and have been trying to break into the motorsport side of the industry for a while but haven't had the best of luck. Much of that is due to me being lazier in my younger years, and some is due to the fact that I haven't had money to build my own stuff to learn and getting into an actual race shop in my area is easier said than done.

I have a 92 Volvo 240 that is my project to turn into a race car. I have some dialing in on the suspension side but nowhere near done and the same when it comes to braking as well. Currently the factory wiring has been giving me enough greif that I have decided to rip out the wiring and start from scratch. Being wired as a racecar that can drive on the street, so eliminating most unnecessary components. In the process of that I am going to install a stand alone ECU now I made all new wiring diagrams for the chassis harnesses and had them scrutinized by the electrical engineer that I work with to tell me where I need to work on things.

I can't wait to learn more from both the courses I buy, and by interacting with you guys.

Welcome Michael!

Hi Michael,

I have a 1980 244, that I'm engine swapping, to turn it into a family cruiser. Be great to hear how your car is progressing.
