Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
Hi guys, my names Brett and I live in Northamptonshire, England. Northamptonshire is the home to many of the worlds best names in motorsport. Cosworth, Mercedes AMG F1, Redbull F1 just to name a few.
I joined here as I am largely self taught and want to be confident in knowing I’m carrying out processes 100% correct. I spent a while in motorsport and recently took part in the British GT championship working on GT4 Nissan 370Zs.
I currently have 3 projects of my own. All of which are quite different. My first is a 1964 Mini Cooper S that requires a full race spec engine with specialy cast cylinder head and mechanical fuel injection. Very old hardware but with modern engineering inside. My other two projects are a lot more modern. I have two Renault Clio V6s to build, one of which is my brothers. My car will be powered by a fully built L7X 3.0l engine, with a gt30 turbo and Sadev sequential gearbox. It has a Motex m800, motec dash, etc etc. The other car is very similar and will be running a Rotrex supercharger, emu ecu, Toyota e153 gearbox and water meth.
I’m very familiar with older technology but am looking forward to polishing up on the more modern subjects using HP Academy. I’ve already seen courses focusing on tuning and software subjects so I will defiantly be purchasing more to help me along my way. Looks like a great breakdown of knowledge and info.
Welcome aboard Brett.
Sounds like you have some interesting projects on the go.
Hope you enjoy it here mate. It’s a bit quiet at times, but the knowledge is valuable.
