Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
Howdy peeps,
Thought I'd say hello and introduce myself. I've been a car enthusiast for years, owning an Ford Xr3i as my first car in 1997 and going through a variety of European and Japanese cars over the years.
I own a MKIV Supra which I've owned for 11 years and still love, as well as a Z31 300zx which I've been restoring for a few years which is more than likely going to be used as a drift project car.
I've got a reasonable amount of mechanical knowledge as I've worked on all of my cars. I have just left the tuning side of things to the experts until I feel confident in my own knowledge (which has led me here).
I've had a thirst for knowledge regarding mapping/tuning for years, but without a friends Mitsubishi Evo 6 breaking down recently, I probably wouldn't have pursued this further in all honesty. He's had a rough time with the car since I've known him and I'm doing my best to try and help him get the thing back on the road. He's past the point of him taking it back to a garage so it's either we get it running or he's going to move it on... and I know he'll regret that decision.
Both of our cars run Link ECUs. The software seems very simplistic and easy to use so I feel confident in navigating my way around the UI which is nice. I just need some guidance with configuring parameters, etc at this stage so I'm hoping peeps are able to lend some of their expertise in this area.
Cheers,
Adam
