Tell us a little about you. What cars you are interested, where you are from and why you are interested in learning to tune.
Hi HPA Forum,
I have been a member on here for a little while and have invested in some of the courses. I am about to finally dive into some refurbishing and upgrading on my 93 R33 GTST. It has a few bolt on mods nothing crazy but it is in need of some loving. It currently has a Microtech LT12s ecu that i would like to upgrade. It would seem the most likely upgrade would be a haltech but I am open to any suggestions from the forum for alternatives.

Welcome to HPA Rod.
Personally I'm a Link fan when it comes to Skylines but the Haltech is a more than capable ECU, it's just preference really. What bolt on's are you planning?
Thanks for the post Chris.
The car has all the standard mild rb25 mods that normally get done. I think the ecu and lack of data is really holding the car back and probably a set of cams wouldn't hurt. I have paid over a thousand dollars for tuning already and the car is still not performing up to standard and that is the main reason I have invested in the courses so i could learn what to look for and tune the car myself. I have attached a engine bay picture for you.
looks like there's a fair amount done, is it pushing approx 350kW? are you still on the stock head gasket or have you upgraded that too?
I have an upgraded metal head gasket. That is the sort of power i was expecting but sadly not. I intend to find the issue and rectify it ASAP
Nice one Rod! Can't go wrong with a Link or Haltech although from a material perspective we do have a bit more Link based examples as Andre really gels with their software layout.
Keep us updated =)
Thanks Taz will do!
